Business Planning Engineer
Dept : Technical – Operations
Accountability
- Business Planning Engineer will be working under Operation Department and based in Company’s office in Jabodetabek region.
- Preparing Operation Expenditure (OPEX) budget starting from the cost realization, existing cost estimate/proposal from functional user, and cost breakdown structure.
- Establish work breakdown element (WBE), cost center assignment, budget allocation for each key activities.
- Retrieving operation cost realization from SAP, perform analysis (such as categorizing by cost breakdown structure, variance for actual vs budget), spending monitoring, forecasting, and reporting including identification of any overrun or optimization opportunity.
- Verifying work progress status, updating cost documentation, and allocating costs to the right cost elements including any reclassification required.
- Creation of the required Cost Centers in SAP to support Purchase Requisition (PR) creation in SAP.
- OPEX accounting data feeding into Corporate’s established systems.
- Assuring cost control for both contract and internal costs.
- Assuring/developing and maintaining all cost reports feeding in cost reporting systems (supported by software tools).
- Providing critical assessment of all operation budget line items and cost projections to ensure proper project budget development and updating in the Company BMS database during the company planning cycles.
- Representing Operation Department for collaboration with Finance Dept in development of Work Plan & Budget (WP&B), FQR, audit, and JV/GOI required process.
- Support other activities in Operation & Production Dept including working with and supporting other Eni business function units as necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor degree in engineering, economics, or relevant subjects.
- Professional Qualification: Minimum 5 years of cost control, budget planning, or finance-related work experience in exploration and production in Oil and Gas industry.
- Language: Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Technical Competencies
- Good knowledge and understanding of development Work Program & Budget, Planning, Risk analysis, Close-Out Report, Cost Management, and Contract Administration.
- Knowledge in oil and gas PSC business process and economic indicators.
- Familiar with business planning or budgeting/cost management application. Experience working with SAP is preferred.
- Good degree of computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). Advance skill for MS Excel is preferred.
- Well developed written/verbal communication skills with ability to interface effectively with at all levels and across multiple functions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation and communication skills
- Experience of working in multi-national environment, high ability to work effectively with people from multiple cultures and backgrounds
