Section Head Barging Operation (Port Captain)

Job Description :

• Conduct socialization of maritime safety standards and SOP.
• Inspect safety and navigation equipment on board the vessel.
• Inspect the condition of the hull and deck of the vessel.
• Monitor the execution of drills on board according to the plan.
• Check the valldity of the vessel’s certificates.
• Ensure the vessel’s readiness and optimize the use of chartered/owned barges.
• Monitor the assist operations and the process of docking and cast-off of barges at the vessel/port.
• Monitor the movement of all fleets and coordinate intensively with the ship’s crew.
• Oversee the loading and unloading process from the jetty to the vessel/port of destination.
• Conduct On-Spot Inspections (OSI) on vessels to be chartered.
• Conduct On-Hire Surveys on chartered vessels.
• Monitor the condition of Navigation Aids/SBNP as scheduled according to the operational water area conditions.
• Coordinate with the Jetty loading master regarding docking, loading, and cast-off activitles.
• Provide feedback/evaluations to vendors collaborating on the project site.

Requirement :

• Minimum education of D IV/S1 in Nautical Science Level Ill or Port Management.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• At least 3 years of experience in the same field.
• Experience sailing as a captain is preferred.
• Proficient in concepts, theories, and equipment used in transshipment operations.
• Understanding of various norms, ethics, regulations, and provisions related to vessel operations.
• Experience in vessel operations.
