Manager, Commercial

Job Purpose
To drive the yard’s marketing and business development by building strong client relationships and securing new opportunities locally and globally. The role ensures effective coordination across internal departments to support project execution, timely delivery, and successful commercial negotiations. It also oversees the commercial department’s daily operations, including reporting, contract management, and billing.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company goals
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets
• Negotiate and manage contracts with clients and partners
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams
• Prepare and oversee proposals, bids, and tenders
• Manage key client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
• Monitor and report on commercial performance metrics
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Manage budgets and optimize resource allocation

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, marketing, or commercial roles within the maritime/shipyard industry.
• Strong knowledge of contract negotiation, proposal management, and project coordination.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with local and global clients.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and teamwork abilities with cross-functional coordination experience.

Project Engineer

Job Purpose
Assisting project manager in monitoring and coordinate work/task activities with production team, subcontractors, engineering, vendors, classification, and clients.

Job Responsibilities

• Daily monitoring and coordination with production team to ensure all works are completed as per schedule and ensure that downtime is minimized. Coordinating HSE/VSCC meeting with production team, sub-contractors, etc.
• Monitoring manpower status, material status and daily production activities and generate reports to project managers.
• Site coordination with contractors, makers, service engineers, agents, and ship staff for both new building project and repair works to ensure there is no deviation of standard procedure.
• Carry out inspection of vessel equipment’s after arriving in the yard and update equipment monitoring/tracking report, safe keep all equipment manual and certificated and prepare for hand over upon vessel delivery.
• Informing respective suppliers and procurement team any defects/ non-conformity of materials/ equipment upon arrival in the yard.
• Prepare project schedule, equipment list, progress tracking/monitoring and continuously update the information.
• Liasing with client representative and classification authority as well as investigating NCR and customer complaints.
• Other task given based on the requirement & business needs or duties assigned by supervisor needed.

Job Requirements

• Good communication skill and understand production sequence of work and quality.
• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or relevant fields.
• Able to read and understand construction drawing, planning, and scheduling.
• Understand MS Project/Primavera.
• Able to communicate in English and Mandarin.

Admin Assistant, Shipping

Job Purpose
This position is responsible for processing and coordinating shipment requests and assist of any documentation needed to complete the shipments. Manage overall shipping logistics activities according to company interest.

Job Responsibilities

• Handling and maintaining shipping-related documents such as bills of lading, shipping manifests, customs paperwork, and other relevant documents.
• Ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation for compliance with shipping regulations.
• Coordinating with various departments within the shipyard, including logistics, warehouse, and procurement, to facilitate seamless shipping processes.
• Communicating with shipping carriers, suppliers, and other external parties to coordinate shipments and resolve any issues.
• Arranging and scheduling shipments, both incoming and outgoing, in coordination with logistics teams.
• Respond to inquiries and provide information regarding shipping processes and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and assist in preparing necessary customs documentation.
• Stay updated on international shipping regulations and requirements.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
• High school or vocational school graduates with relevant experience are welcome.
• Fluent in English
• Minimum 1-year experiences in shipyard industry, preferable in the same position
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and good problem solving/negotiation skills.
• Have a strong sense of urgency, meticulous and excellent follow up skills.
• Capable of thriving under pressure and meeting tight deadlines with efficiency and composure.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially word and excel application

Piping Drafter, Engineering

Job Purpose
To support and strengthen newly formed shipyard engineering team to interprets drawings and prepares Piping work reports. Collaborates with Team Leader to support project design deliverables and technical aspects.

Job Responsibilities

• Possess strong knowledge in drawings interpretation (P&ID’s, General Arrangement Drawings, Isometrics, etc.)
• Detailing of Piping According to base drawing and class regulations
• Manual Pipe routing in AutoCAD 2D/3D
• Preparing MTO, piping, valve, fittings data sheets, specifications and MTO from P&ID, piping general arrangement drawings
• Coordinate with Project team to prepare drawing and distribute drawing
• Preparation of Drawing Report (Document control)
• Update As-Build drawing

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering/Naval Architect/Relevant study
• High school and vocational school graduate with relevant experience are welcome
• Able to operate AutoCAD 3D/2D System and Microsoft Office
• Demonstrates excellent integrity and communication skills
• Fluent in English
• Proficiently plan, design drawings, and manage projects
• Requires a proven ability to conduct layout and design for facility piping systems
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Piping Drafter in Shipyard

Hull Drafter, Engineering

Job Purpose
To support and strengthen newly formed shipyard engineering team to interprets drawings and prepares Hull work reports. Collaborates with Team Leader to support project design deliverables and technical aspects.

Job Responsibilities

• Detailing of Hull & Outfitting according to base drawing and class regulations.
• Preparation of nesting & cutting plan.
• Preparation of material take off.
• Coordinate with project to prepare drawing and distribute drawing.
• Preparation of drawing report.
• Checking work progress report as per shipyard procedure.
• Other task given based on the requirement and business needs, or other duties assigned by superior needed.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Ship Construction or relevant fields with minimum 1 year of working experience as a drafter.
• Vocational High School/ Senior High School with minimum 3 years of working experience as drafter.
• Able to operate AutoCAD, Cadmatic System and Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrates excellent integrity and communication skills
• Fluent in English.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin is a plus
• Proficiently plan and design drawings.

Electrical Engineer, Engineering

Job Purpose
To support and strengthen newly formed shipyard engineering team to interprets drawings and prepares electrical instrument plans and reports. Collaborates with the team to support project design deliverables and technical aspects.

Job Responsibilities

• Have knowledge in interpret drawings (General Arrangement Drawings, Basic Drawing, Detail/ Production Drawing).
• Detailing of E&I (in AutoCAD) according to base drawing and class regulations.
• Preparation Electrical & Instrument plan
• Coordinate with Project to prepare drawing and distribute drawing.
• Preparation of drawing report (document control).
• Preparation of electrical instrument report.
• Prepare electrical and cable arrangement.
• Update as-build drawing.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or relevant fields
• High school and vocational school graduate with relevant experience are welcome
• Minimum 2 years of working experience as E&I Drafter in a shipyard
• Able to operate AutoCAD System and Microsoft Office
• Demonstrates excellent integrity and communication skills
• Fluent in English
• Proficiently plan, design drawings, and manage projects
• Requires a proven ability preparation of steel weight report
